Moira’s
recent performances include Fan in Thea Musgrave’s “Christmas
Carol” (Virginia Opera), Adina in “L’Elisir d’Amore” (Concert
Opera of Philadelphia), Lucy in “The Telephone”, the title roles
in Handel’s “Rodelinda” and the World Premiere of Seymour Barab’s
“Cinderella” (Virginia Opera), Olympia in “Les Contes D’Hoffmann”,
Papagena in “The Magic Flute” (New Orleans Opera), the title role
in Handel’s “Semele”, and the New York Premiere of “Hans Brincker
and the Silver Skates” (Sylvia and Danny Kaye Playhouse).
Future engagements include recital appearances in New Jersey and
a yet-to-be-announced major role with Tulsa Opera in the Spring
of 2006.
In
the summer of 1999, Moira traveled to Europe where she performed
in the hometown of Giuseppi Verdi. At the Teatro Verdi di
Busseto she sang a recital of Verdi arias, ensembles and songs
with four other artists, all from the Metropolitan Opera’s roster.
That Fall, she made her Carnegie Hall Debut in a concert sponsored
by Classical Productions.
Moira
received her Masters degree in Music from Manhattan School of
Music in New York City, and her Bachelors degree in Music from
Loyola University New Orleans.
