Patron De Rueda
Conductor
Situated in
one of the most distinguished places of the cultural and artistic
life in Mexico, resulting from his brilliant professional activity
and profound knowledge of opera he has been considered the best
conductor of this generation in his country.
Scenario of
its formation: The National Conservatorium of Music, The London
Opera Center, The Royal Academy of Music and Morley College.
Your guides Tito Gobbi, Reri Grist, Sir Geraint Evans and Peter
Gelhorn, who completed their courses of orchestral conducting
with him.
His talent
and dedication has earned him scholarships granted by the governments
of Great Britain and Italy, specializing in opera in the cities
of London and Siena respectively.
Head of the
Orchestra at the Theatre of Bellas Artes, Artistic Director of
the National Opera Company, Artistic Director of the Seasonal
Opera Concerto of the Philharmonic Orchestra of the City of Mexico,
Artistic Director for the Sinaloan Cultural Festival, which is
where he originates from and promoter of artistic and cultural
activities of his State.
Joint director
and creator, along with Juan Ibáñez, of the musical
spectacular “Juego Mágico.”
From his debut
in 1979, his most outstanding acts have been the operas “Tosca”
with Placido Domingo. Diverse concerts and operas with the soprano
Gilda Cruz-Romo as well as with Eva Marton, Juan Pons, Ramon Vargas,
Fernando de la Mora, Rolando Villazón, Verónica
Villarroel, Cristina Gallardo-Domaz and Ainoa Arteta. He has also
managed to amass a broad repertoire that includes different symphonic
musical and oratorical ballets as well as popular music such as
his conducting of the National Symphonic Orchestra together with
the popular singer Juan Gabriel, which is of special mention.
He has recorded
complete versions of “Suor Angelica”, “La Vida
Breve” and recitals with Gilda Cruz Romo.
He participated
in the Winter Festival of the Campus of Jordau of Sao Paulo, Brazil.
History
1991-1992
- Resounding
success at the premier in Mexico of the operas “Roberto
Devereux ” and “Anna Bolena” by Donizetti,
with Fernando de la Mora, Marthile Rowland and Vladimir Chernov,
in the Theatre of Bellas Artes.
- Has recorded
three CD´s of diverse Latin American and Mexican genera
with Fernando de la Mora.
- Has been
the musical director on different occasions for the National
Dance Company.
1993
- February,
he conducted the Concerto to Inaugurate the Festival of Arts
in
Guatemala.
- In Bogotá,
he conducted a special concerto for the presidents of Mexico,
Colombia and Venezuela, with the National Symphonic Orchestra
of Colombia, in the Colon Theatre.
- April,
he conducted the Houston Symphonic Orchestra for the international
Festival of that City.
- June-July,
he directed the new co-production of Montreal-Miami-Mexico of
the opera “Werther” by Massenet, in the Palace of
Bellas Artes.
- July,
he directed the new production of “La Bohemia”,
in the Teresa
Carreño Theatre in Caracas, Venezuela with such success
that he was invited to direct the new production of Aída
in 1995
- September,
he conducted the Inauguration Concerto of Europalia, in Brussels,
Belgium with the Symphonic Orchestra of Brussels in the presence
of the King of Belgium and the President of Mexico.
1994
- He directed
the new production of the opera “Fausto”, in the
Palace of Bellas Artes in Mexico with Fernando de la Mora, Ainhoa
Arteta and Justino Díaz.
- Again
he was named Musical Director of the National Dance Company
of Bellas Artes with whom he directed “Carmina Burana”,
“Romeo and Juliet” by Prokofiev and “Giselle”.
1995
- Named
Musical Director of the Opera of Columbia where he made new
productions of “Rigoletto”, “Madam Butterfly”,
“Lucia de Lamemoor”, “Fausto” in co-production
with the Operas of Cologne, Germany “La Boheme”
and “Il Trovatore”, as well as the Opera Galas with
Fernando de la Mora, Aprile Millo and June Anderson.
1996
- He conducted
the spectacular “!Viva la Opera!” together with
the master Juan Ibáñez in Bellas Artes.
- Named
Principal Conductor of the Orchestra of Bellas Artes, Mexico
directing “La Favorita”, with Ramón Vargas
and Gloria Schalcchi, “La Traviata”, with Verónica
Villarroel and Fernando de la Mora, “Norma”, with
Martille Rowland and Encarnación Vázquez.
1997
- He conducted
the Grand Gala “Los Tenores de Mexico” with Jorge
López Yánez, Fernando de la Mora, Alfredo Portilla
and Ramón Vargas; said gala was broadcast live via television
over all America and Spain.
- He was
invited to conduct the “Primera Gala Latina”, with
Verónica Villarroel, Alfredo Portilla, Martha Senn and
Juan Pons.
- February,
he was named Artistic Director of the “Festival Internacional
Paiz”, in La Antigua, Guatemala, directing “La Traviata”.October,
in Sinaloa his native State, he was granted the “Premio
Sinaloa de las Artes” (Sinaloan Prize for Arts).
- He conducted
the operas “Werther” with Ramón Vargas and
Encarnación Vázquez and “Carmen” with
Adria Firestone and Fernando de la Mora.
1998
- February,
debuted in the Opera of Hawaii with “Norma” by Bellini,
with Sharon Spinetti and Linda Pavelka.
- March,
he conducted “La Boheme” in Bellas Artes, Mexico,
with Cristina Gallardo-Domaz and Fernando de la Mora.
- May, premier
of the new production of “Carmen” by Bizet-Shedrin,
for the National Dance Company of Bellas Artes.
- June,
he prepared the co-production of “Luisa Fernanda”
Bellas Artes and the Zarzuela Theatre, Madrid, sharing the podium
with Master Plácido Domingo.
- July,
he directed the new production of “La Traviata”
in the Colón Theatre, Colombia with
Cristina Gallardo-Domaz, Fernando de la Mora and Justino Díaz.
- He was
invited to conduct the Grand Concerto for the Inauguration of
the “Templo de Santo
Domingo”, Oaxaca, in the presence of the President of
Mexico.
- August,
premiered the new production of “Don Quijote” with
the National Dance Company of Bellas Artes.
- Named
as Musical Director of the First Festival of Arts of Tamaulipas.
- He directed
“Madama Butterfly”, “Giselle” and mass
concertos.
- September,
he conducted the “Segunda Gran Gala Latina” with
Fernando de la Mora, Justino Díaz and many outstanding
national singers.
- The Opera
“Rigoletto”, Degollado Theatre, Guadalajara, Jalisco
with Gary Simpson, Oliva Gorra and Rolando Villazón.
- October,
he directed “Turandot” in the Degollado Theatre,
Guadalajara, Jalisco.
- He participated
in the Festival of Sinaloa directing the opera “La Traviata”.
- November,
toured festivals with the Missive of “Réquiem”
by Mozart.
1999
- He conducted
the “Tercera Gala Latina” where the new generation
of Mexican singers are presented.
- December,
he conducted the Christmas concerto for Televisa Radio in BellasArtes.
- December
31st, he was invited to organize and conduct the “Concierto
del Milenio” in order to receive the new century in the
Zócalo of the City of Mexico before 150,000 people, which
was broadcast throughout the world.
2000
- February,
Toured Northern Mexico with “Carmina Burana” by
Carl Orff and
“Dionaea” by Villalobos.
- He conducted
“Fausto” in Bellas Artes, Mexico.
- April,
he debuted in the Opera of Puerto Rico with the new production
of “Madama Butterfly” with Verónica Villarroel
and Michael Didik.
- May, he
directed “Carmina Burana”, “Sinfonia Simple”
by Britten, with the National Dance Company of Bellas Artes.
- June,
premiered the new production of “Il Trovatore” with
Alfredo Portilla,
Verónica Villarroel, Bárbara Devel and Genaro
Sulvarán for Bella Artes.
- September,
he conducted the “Cuarta Gala Latina”, Grand opera
concerto with the participation of Plácido Domingo, Bellas
Artes Theatre, Mexico
- October,
Toured Northern Mexico with the operas “Turandot”
and “Carmen”.
- December,
premiered the new choreography and production of “Cascanueces”
in Bellas Artes.
2001
- Concerto
in Santiago, Chile with Cristina Gallardo-Domaz and the Symphonic
Orchestra of the Municipal Theatre.
- Debuted
in Spain conducting “La Traviata” with Ainhoa Arteta,
Villa-marta Theatre in Jerez.
- May, celebrated
the year Verdi conducting “Luisa Miller” in Bellas
Artes.
- Closure
of the Cervantino Festival with Fernando de la Mora in the Alhóndiga
de Granaditas with the Symphonic Orchestra of the University
of Guanajuato.
- “Madama
Butterfly” National Auditorium with 8,000 seats sold out.
- “El
Cascanueces” with the National Dance Company, National
Auditorium.
- New production
of “La Bayadera”, in Bellas Artes with the National
Dance Company.
- He conducted
“Tosca” with the Puerto Rican Opera Company with
Justino Díaz, César Hernández and Rosa

in the worldwide homage to Agustín Lara, with the Symphony
of Xalapa.

2002
- Debuted
in Munich Germany with the Bayerischer Rundfunkorchestre in
the gala concerto with the tenor Rolando Villazón, in
the Philarmoníe Hall.
- Toured
Spain with the opera “Lucía de Lamermoor”
with the production of Emilio Sagi, in Córdoba and Jerez
with the Symphonic Orchestra of Córdoba and the production
of the Theatre of Oviedo.
- New production
of “Il Trittico” by G. Puccini in Bellas Artes.
- “Raymonda”
and “La Sílfide y el Escocés” with
the National Dance Company, Bellas Artes.
- He received
the “LA LUNA” prize of the National Auditorium fro
his participation in the best classical event with the opera
“M. Butterfly” with the National Opera Company,
which was sold out.
- He returned
to Puerto Rico with the new production of “Cavallería
Rusticana” and “Pagliacci”.
- He was
again invited to close the Cervantino Festival with homage to
Agustín Lara in the Alhóndiga de Granaditas.
- He was
invited to conduct the Grand Gala Concerto for the First Ladies,
wives of the presidents of America, with the Chamber Orchestra
of Bellas Artes.
- At the
end of 2002, he was invited to inaugurate the Valparaíso
Cultural Carnival with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Santiago
Chile.
2003
